Digital pedagogy, the user experience of online design, and the adaptation of broadcast teaching methods for hybrid higher education.

Retiring from Middlesex in December 2024, Dr Howarth now researches digital pedagogy, user experience of online design, and the adaptation of broadcast teaching methods.

Methods

The work applies professional broadcast and media production practice to teaching: rewriting spoken English for media use, linking text to video and supporting PDF resources, and testing hybrid classroom layout and teaching desk design with the people who use them.
