Virtual Reality Photography

Here are some examples of projects in Virtual Reality photography using Apple’s QuickTime VR.  Arising from my Ph.D. research, and with particular relevance to education, the VR interface – even in its pseudo 3D form – appears to be still valuable in terms of more effective navigation, faster screen recognition times and whole-body manipulation. The result may be an overall higher level of involvement in learning. • Working with staff at the School of Electronic Arts at Middlesex University we developed a Director interface which allowed Virtual Reality images to be linked to maps with the facility to add still images, text and sound.
