A Rapid ePublishing Model
Context
A one year fully-functioning system, based on a three month pilot, uses effective planning and broadcasting production experience to create resources for academic and marketing to inform students and businesses of the potential for Work Based Learning.
The University’s MODnet (Middlesex Organisational Development Network) funding is the driving force behind the project to encourage wider learning opportunities.
Assets created will be used by the University MU TV website, and the marketing department, in training staff, supporting students, attracting new business.
The production process is backed by input the MODnet marketing team in Work Based Learning with output to webmail bulletins, conferences etc.
In a wider brief the webcast team are exploring a Rapid E Publishing Model in which functional resources can be quickly published through digital media, for example PDF in formats that involve, engage and meet the needs of real world learning.
The model is also being offered to outside organisations and to support internal projects seeking funding for eLearning in specialist areas.
