EXERCISE 1: COOL TEXT
Creating cool text - Photoshop 6This can be a pretty cool effect when used correctly. It comes out like a Blair Witch type style logo. 1)First, create a new document any size you want, with any type of background colour you want. Try a 300x100 document with a black background. 2) Now select the
type tool Type tool

3)Pick a font that fits your mood. Make sure you have anti-alias enabled, your text will look much crisper. 4)For a font colour, I would use earth type tones, nothing that would be too contrasting to the background you are working with. Stay away from Pure Black ( #000000 ) or pure white ( #FFFFFF ). On a black background, I used a random shade of grey. ( #DEDEDE ). 5)Here is the fun part comes in. Duplicate the text layerYou just did. So on your layers menu, you want to right click on the text layer you just did, and select 'duplicate layer', or click on 'Layer', then 'duplicate layer' from the menu up top with your text layer selected. |

0 spread, 5 size 50,
range an d 0 jitter. |
